I have been told by my doctor that I have a cyst?

on my right ovary. She said it was a dermoid....can anybody explain what that is and what i need to do or what's going to happen to me?

apparently its something you have had since birth.
Reply:The cyst is an infection really, a boil that is deeper than just under the skin....You may experience pain as it grows....They may need to place a cathether to drain the fluid...but if he gave you anti-biotics and it isn't too swolen it may drain itself.


Nothing major.....If you have a regular partner have him checked for STDs, he may have a minor infection that cause the cyst.
Reply:I had a grilfriend that had a cyst on her ovaries. She had to take birthcontrol and was told she might have trouble having kids. Otherwise she had no problems. She had issues with both ovaries though.


Typically they remove these kinds of cysts. Your doctor should of told you about this or made another appointment. Don't worry about it till you know more. Your lucky they found this so soon. More information can be found on the net.
