Is it safe to have sex 5 days after my cyst surgery? I was advised to have sex 6 weeks after surgery.?

If the doctor advised you not to have intercourse for 6 weeks it must have been for a good reason. Infections can sometimes be worse then the cyst pain you have had. This does not mean you can not do other things........

Reply:Doctor's don't give you advice just to hear themselves speak. If you were told to wait 6 weeks, having sex now would just be foolish, and possibly harmful.
Reply:If you were advised to wait 6 weeks then wait 6 weeks. Your doctor has good reasons for telling you to wait. Think of your health first.
Reply:Better wait the 6 weeks if you don't want further problems. And No it's not safe until then. My sister has gone through that with the cysts, it's no fun and everyone on here is bringing up infection, they are all very much right. You don't need infection, you could develope infection where the cysts came out, Then your looking at a more serious surgery, you don't want to go through that.


Also, with cyst removed, if you start feeling feverish, get to the hospital right away too. Take care.
