What kind of doctor should I see to have a ganglion cyst removed?

It just popped up on my wrist one day, and I ignored it for a while, but now I feel like it might be getting larger, and I think it's putting a strain on the joint, too, so it's time to get rid of it...

What kind of doctor should I see to have a ganglion cyst removed?
If you just need it aspirated, I would suggest an ortho or hand specialist in your area. Sometimes your GP will do it. It just depends on the facilities they have availiable. But if you've let it go for a long time I'd go with the orthopedic surgeon to have it completely removed.
Reply:You should see your primary care doctor, who can evaluate the cyst and also refer you to the right specialist.
Reply:u need to go to a gernal surgeon and it is very normal a physician can also handle this by giving and injection in it if it is not big.
