Ultrasound results revealed I have 2 small fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. Also one ovary larger than?

After a routine exam with my doctor I revealed to her that I was having some abdominal pain during and after sex also a problem of not being able to urinate after sex?

Other problems to frequent of urination while on vacation in Miami.

She indicated that my uterus was tilted making it difficult to locate my cervix she expressed this was unusual. Referred me for sonograms transvaginal pelvic, abodominal, and pelvic.

I had also indicated to her that my frequency of bowel movements was like 2 or 3 times a week (non-period).

I am some what scared of the results as I have been in perfect health previously is there a need to become conecerned.

Will I be able to have more children? Is this why my blood counts were low white and red?

Please advise sensably Please.

Fibroids are very common. Tilted uterus is also common. You need to seek the guidance and direction of your gynecologist for your specific care. Set up an appoitment. Keep the appointment. Write down any questions you may have and ask them at your appointment. Keep follow up appointments and follow the recommendations of your health care provider. Best of health.
Reply:OK here is the thing ALWAYS get a second opinion.My friend has indemetious and after a couple of surgeries she will be able to have children, but it took going to at least 3 gynos before she was able to make a clear decision. the thing is that you just never know how to feel or act in these situation and the best thing to do is read up on as much as possible on your type of condition , then when you go to the doctor you can ask questions and feel better about there answers and the decisions you make about your situation. Good luck!!!
Reply:Fibroids are benign tumours. In uterus, there can be several types of fibroids. According to the symptoms, yours are most likely to be Pendulated Fibroids (Fibroid with stalk). Fibroids increase the surface area of uterus. For that reason, you might have menorrhgia (increase flow of period). That will make you anaemic.

those fibroids will be either inside or outside of uterus or sometime just within the uterus wall. if it is freely moving pedunculated fibroid, that will irritate your stomach and you can get tummy pain.

when your uterus is bulky, it can give pressure effect to nearby structures. if it is pressing on bladder neck, you can't be able to pass wee. if on ur large bowel, the same rule applies.

mostly, fibroids are innocent. but if you are having symptoms, it need to be sort out by a gyaencologist. in your case, most probably surgery is the best.

if the fibroid is not within the uterus, there is nothing to do with your fertility. if they are inside the uterine cavity, they can interfer your conception. once the fibroids are removed, the chances will be back to normal in most cases.

fibroid = myoma = leiofibromyoma

uterus = womb

bladder = water bladder

anaemic = low red blood cell

ps. ovary cysts are also common and there are many types. i need to know more information about your cyst to explain you.
Reply:Hi....I found out two months ago I had a large uterine fibroid. I was aware that something was wrong because i had pain during sex, i had painful cramps and diarrhea for a few years and within the last six months my period was so heavy i had to use two pads at the same time. I was so tired all the time, i found going to work so exhausting. Well upon examination the doctor found i was severly anemic from heavy periods and all this was due to the fibroids. A month ago i had a hysterectomy. This was done after careful weighing of other options. Please talk with your doctor and do research on this matter for yourself. There are alot of options to help you. I wish you all the best and I will pray for you.
