My pet dog has had an opperation to remove a cyst on his paw?

ended up been a lot bigger than the vet first thought, so the operation has left him with open sores on his pads on the bottom of his foot that i have to dress with bandages every day, poor mut hasent been out for a walk because the plastic bags are not strong enough, and rip open before we go to far, has any one any ideas what i could use that would be waterproof and would be strong enough to go for a short walk. ive tryed a few things but would really love some help. thanks

Have you tried a zip lock freezer bag? The plastic is much heavier then put a sock over the plastic bag and tape it at the top. They also have self adhesive bandages in rolls you can get at any WalMart or drug store. I've seen them in colors too. It may hold up for a short walk.
Reply:they make Doggie Shoes!(check at your local pet store!)
Reply:did you check with the vet to make sure he is able to walk without hurting him? if he can walk i would buy the little dog shoes. they sell them at every petco or petsmart.
Reply:If doggy shoes dont work, ever thought of baby shoes? (for humans), or a sock on his paw, or wrap an ace bandange around the bandage for thicker padding between the ground and paw.
Reply:put the plastic bags on and tehn lightly wroap in good old duct tape it's the answer for everything
