What do I do in the case of a coccyx cyst?

For a long time in about 1-1,5 years I've been having this slight coccyx pain when I sat back. Like 3 days ago I couldn't sit well, and all of a sudden 10 mins ago (at about 23:15 gmt+2) I realize pus is draining. Now then, seeing how I do not know what to do in this case, Id like to know like, if i should squeeze out all the pus or let the doc handle the stuff on his own, and if surgery is always necessary (OF COURSE, FEEL FREE TO CONTRIBUTE WITH WHAT YOU KNOW!!(slight panic)). The thing I care about is the coccyx staying in is place, even if the scalpel has to be put on me buttocks unno :p

Since sitting on the affected area may aggravate the condition, a cushion with a cutout at the back under the coccyx is recommended (the donut cushion traditionally recommended by doctors is generally useless for this condition). If there is tailbone pain with bowel movements, then stool softeners and increased fiber in the diet may help. For prolonged cases, anti-inflammatory or pain-relieving drugs may be prescribed. The use of anti-depressants such as Elavil (amiltriptyline) may help alleviate constant pain. Local nerve blocks are often beneficial. Reply:You need to see a general surgeon, that cyst is usually the result of a twin that did not develope. May have foreign bodies in the cyst itself. Not a major procedure. Good luck.

Reply:,My Nephew had one of those rite on the tail bone(you know at the top of his crack) sorry, it caused him allot of pain, he had to have it removed, they usually have to do it surgically or it will come back it has like a capsule in there that will continue to fill with puss an become infected if you don't. Good luck, oh yeah it started to come back getting sore in the same spot, my Mom suggested he drink this stuff called "Monavie" it's some kinda juice like Noni it seemed to help it went away. who knows.
